Promises Alone Cannot Deliver Quality: 2025 Hansem Global ISO 9001 Surveillance Audit Report

“Quality matters to us.”

Many companies make this statement, but real quality isn’t sustained by promises alone.

What matters is how quality is integrated into daily operations and managed consistently through reliable systems. That’s why global partners evaluate not just whether a company holds ISO 9001 certification, but whether that system is genuinely effective in practice.

Hansem Global first achieved ISO 9001 certification in 2011 for “Planning, Development, and Production of User Manuals.” For 14 years, we’ve maintained our accreditation through annual surveillance audits, constantly evaluating and enhancing our quality management system. This June, we completed our 2025 surveillance audit.

In this blog, we share:

  • The significance and real value of ISO 9001 certification
  • How the 2025 surveillance audit was conducted
  • How Hansem Global consistently operates a reliable quality system for global clients

It isn’t just a report confirming audit passage. It’s proof that Hansem Global delivers quality through systematic operation, not empty promises.

Expanding the Scope of Certification: From Content to Full Translation Services

ISO 9001 certification must evolve with your business. Hansem Global’s certification milestones:

  • 2011: First certified under ISO 9001:2008 for “Planning, Development, and Production of User Manuals”
  • 2017: Updated to ISO 9001:2015
  • 2023: Expanded scope to include translation services and added Vietnam & USA sites

Current certification covers:

  • Scope: Translation service and Development of user manuals
  • Sites: Korea HQ, Vietnam subsidiary, USA subsidiary

It reflects Hansem Global’s capability to integrate quality control across the whole content lifecycle—planning, development, and translation.

2025 Surveillance Audit Process

Conducted by Kiwa Certification, the audit included eight organizational units inside Hansem Global:

  • Korea HQ: In-person
  • USA & Vietnam subsidiaries: Conducted via video conference, adjusted for time zones

Each unit underwent a 2–3 hour audit focusing on:

  • System documentation and its currency
  • Alignment of documented procedures with actual practice
  • Management of client requirements and change control
  • Traceability of actions and continuous improvement efforts

Audit Results: Zero Non-Conformities

All audited units demonstrated consistent adherence to ISO 9001. The audit concluded with zero non-conformities reported. Highlighted strengths included:

  1. Real-time management of client requirements and changes
  2. Development and use of tools to boost efficiency and problem-solving
  3. Barcode-based system managing client assets (e.g., sample items)
  4. Effective communication and operational monitoring via internal platforms

Recommendations: Enhancing Quality Even Further

Three recommendations were given—not mandatory corrections, but strategic suggestions:

  1. Risk Management: Emphasize the appropriateness of implemented corrective actions, not just risk assessment
  2. Quality Objectives Execution: Establish KPI-driven action plans and regular monitoring
  3. Competency Management: Re-evaluate employee qualification standards and strengthen training systems

These actions will be rolled out across departments in the second half of this year.

Moving Forward: Delivering Credible Quality to Clients

This surveillance audit demonstrates more than certification—it shows how our ISO system actively functions in daily operations. From now on, Hansem Global will:

  • Refine and enhance processes across all sites
  • Build faster and more consistent responses to client needs
  • Strengthen collaboration between global offices to maintain unified quality standards

Looking ahead to 2026, our three-year recertification audit, we will implement these improvements and elevate our quality management to the next level.

Quality is not a one-time event.
Customer trust starts with everyday process management.
